My latest project is a feature length documentary following various women of color as they run for political office. Please consider making a small donation 25K could help us make this a story for the people, and by the people. If you can’t donate but wish to support in other ways be in touch! We can run alone, but we can run so much further and faster together. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/running-with-my-girls-a-film-project/x/17030307#/
MTOB(More Than One Box) A Mixed Gathering, Why?
What does it mean to "check more than one box"? It means being free to be all that you are! As Kimberly Ming and I are putting together the final details for MTOB I have been reflecting on the work we are doing and why we are doing it.
My husband and I recently took our son down to Georgia for my family reunion. It was a beautiful trip and filled us with so much joy! Our son got to meet many of his cousins for the first time.
Kingston and his kin.
Mostly joy(there was some exhaustion too ha ha)
My husband and son.
This weekend we also went to a Scottish Festival, and even though I know this man ancestor's probably owned my ancestors...we still have a shared history and heritage. We must heal to move forward. We have to join together and honor all that we are.
Please join us in Denver, CO August 18th 2018. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/mtob-more-than-one-box-full-day-film-screening-tickets-48636511114
We do this work for many reasons, but the most important reason is giving our sons the gift of whole self.
My son Kingston is a Henderson.
Join us in celebrating all that you are!
Love to see you on August 18th! Tickets here!
Our beautiful boys.
